A single day Ground Hum + ANTiPODE Experimental Music Festival|2pm-10pm|
Line-up: 8circuit, enereph, Hans Anderson, 'nohup', ArtSaves, Idlefon, and Hailstones.

Ground Hum was started by a group of friends and artists from the dance music scene in Seattle, WA. It is a winter celebration of experimental music, dance, and installation art – mirroring and connecting through the austere desolation of the Pacific Northwest season. Ground Hum Line-up for this event: 8circuit, enereph, Hans Anderson, and 'nohup'.

Ground Hum Artists:

enereph composes percussive atmospheric works that move the listener holistically. She is interested in how chains of interaction between body and machine can create new patterns of thought and feeling for both creator and receiver. Particularly drawn to the patterns of textiles and electronic music as pathways, she explores one's capacity to serve or disrupt systems of order. Her music flourishes in amorphous inner states and spaces, drawing inspiration from the home, club, gallery, garden, and studio. She is currently based in Seattle.

Hans Anderson is a musician in Seattle. He creates soundscapes using magnetic tape, field recordings, electronic instruments, and, on occasion, oboe. His current sound inspirations are varied thrushes, city buses, and dampness.

'nohup' is an Iranian-American multimedia artist, producer and DJ based out of Seattle, WA. They are the operator of `illegal afters tracks`. Inspired by the radical inclusivity of the Seattle scene, their work is focused on finding a sense of comfort in discomfort, introducing a sense of joy and levity when faced with darkness.

8circuit is a producer, audio engineer, and sound artist from Seattle. His work focuses on generative synthesis, found sounds and field recording, and rich percussive programming to explore the ways that textural worlds of sound can trigger deep emotional resonances. As an event organizer, his work with the secondnature and Ground Hum collectives has pushed experimental electronic music culture forward in the city for over a decade.

ANTiPODE Artists:

ArtSaves’ music compasses a melange of ambient and industrial techno drawing inspiration from his Iranian heritage while targeting the concepts of identity and belonging. ArtSaves will join ANTiPODE remotely from Vancouver due to visa issues.

Idlefon, co-founders and runners of the experimental art label BITROT and SET Festival, will bring their new live-set “Aesthetics of Survival” to ANTiPODE, a fitting blend between shoegaze inspired vocals and IDMl music.

Hailstones is the brainchild of Idlefon (Hesam Ohadi). After a decade of making strictly electronic music, Hesam started to experiment with piano and vocals in a fully acoustic context which led to the formation of Hailstones—a slowgaze/dream pop project including Mehraun Ehsani and Bo Scavvies.
